NEEDS FOR RELIEF FOR SANDY

The OMO is helping to spearhead a countrywide Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief effort which will come to involve all municipalities, church and civic organizations, and businesses in the county.The concept is to adopt a community in the area of devastation and allow citizens of Oconee to respond to help meet the needs of that particular community. Organizational meetings are helping to establish guidelines and more announcements will be made soon. Please check back on this website as more information will be posted
shortly. If you have ideas and would like to get involved in the planning process, please contact any OMO officer listed elsewhere on the website. Please keep our friends in the Northeast in prayer as this recovery will be a lengthy one due to the enormous destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy.

         Cleaning items, diapers, canned food, dry goods, and paper goods are especially in high demand, Please contact us to arrange for donation instructions. People are having to wheel barrow their supplies to their homes!

1. Prayer Breakfast Every Thursday at Jimmy's Resturant in Seneca SC Hwy 123 By Pass 7:00 am - 9:00 am. We meet and pray for our Teachers, Leaders, Civil Servents, and our nation as a whole for God to send revival to the country.

2. Feeding of the less fourtunate behind Hometown Food Store in Seneca SC once every quarter. beginning 09/11/2010. Through Christ Central Ministries. See Link Below.

3. Supply "Testamints" after dinner mints to Jimmy's, Mt View Steak & Seafood, and Zion Resturant.

4. Lunch for Life Program at Salvation Army building on John Street Walhalla every Saturday at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM through Welcome Wesleyan Church. Now with many more Churches participating. Scott Durham Chaplin 864-944-7300
